Special Forces to Train Iraqi Army in Jordan
Recent news reports indicate that United States Special Forces teams have been sent to Jordan to take part in training events with Jordanian and Iraqi Special Forces units. This is a quiet and small way of helping out the Iraqi government in its attempt to quell the rising power of the Sunni insurgents in Iraq. Of course, the resurgence of the terrorists and guerrillas in Iraq is a result of Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki not sharing power with the Sunni's. The training event will bolster the ability of the Iraqi special units to conduct special operations.
