Troop Withdrawal From Afghanistan - Date Is Elusive
The American troop withdrawal from Afghanistan was widely announced as mid-summer 2011. However, . . . it appears that is merely the start of the withdrawal. The date slip provides more time for the U.S. military and its coalition partners to try and train up an Afghan army and police force and to rid the Karzai government of the massive problem of corruption. In three more years the army may get trained up - the corruption problem, not so much.
