Detainee Policy in Afghanistan Changes for the Better
The length of time that U.S. forces can hold a detainee has lengthened from 4 days to 14 days. This is a change to the policy of only keeping a detainee for 4 days until he is released to Afghan forces. The 4 day policy has been in effect since 2005.
