Al Qaeda, Drugs, Latin America, and Aviation
Al Qaeda has been instrumental in the establishment of an aviation network that smuggles drugs from South America to Africa and then on to Europe and other destinations. Rueters is reporting that a network of rogue aircraft regularly cross the Atlantic Ocean with drugs from the cocaine-producing areas of Latin America. These are big aircraft such as Boeing 727s.
